二、研究领域

目前已逐步形成了海洋生物基因与蛋白质组学、分子进化与系统发育、分子与细胞工程育种、海洋微生物分子生态学及应用四个稳定的研究方向。

海洋生物基因与蛋白质组学:围绕海洋生物重要基因功能与调控及蛋白质资源开发利用的关键问题,在国家自然基金、省重大国际合作项目的支持下,发现了鮸鱼MHC、TLR等免疫基因家族的差异免疫反应原性,初步阐述了MyD88及TLRs基因间的调控网络体系,探明了贻贝抗菌肽、粘连蛋白等活性多肽的分子组成、作用机理及构效关系。

分子进化与系统发育:围绕物种形成与分歧、生物进化及系统发生研究中的关键问题,在国家自然基金等项目的支持下,已经揭示了补体C3基因在硬骨鱼类与哺乳类所面临的差异选择压力与进化模式、HAMP2基因在棘鳍鱼类中的适应性进化以及硬骨鱼类TLRs家族的差异进化,从分子水平阐明了中国石首鱼类的物种起源、演化历史及种群分歧时间。

分子与细胞工程育种:围绕重要海洋养殖经济物种遗传改良及新品种选育中的关键问题,开展分子设计与细胞工程育种的相关研究,已经培育出包括耐高温褐牙鲆在内的几种鱼虾类养殖新品系,

海洋微生物分子生态学及应用:利用常规克隆文库构建和高通量测序技术,结合宏基因组学、生物信息学和统计学方法,研究环境因子变化对海洋微生物群落(多样性、结构和功能)的影响,以及海洋微生物的地理分布格局研究。
